About Spring Creek Assisted Living
 |
We have cared for over a thousand seniors these past 14 years, each of them has come and left our services with an irreplaceable contribution that represents what we in America have been founded upon—“timeless values and character.”
Without proper care, many seniors leave this life believing they were a burden to their families and society for the last few years of their lives. We know this is an untruth, and realize that the loss of physical abilities significantly contributes to this perception. Here, at Spring Creek, we care for seniors in a way that recognizes they pass to us and their families their final, most valuable contribution. We call it passing the torch.
The thousand-plus seniors we have served represent over eighty-five thousand years of priceless living during a time that American values have been challenged, altered and are now being questioned. They represent a legacy that we at Spring Creek are committed to helping families remember and pass to the next generation.
We accomplish this by doing more than just caring for your loved one. We take all that we have learned and help you to experience the final chapter of this relationship in a way that perhaps you could not do by yourself. You see, we are not a service provider; we are here to create an experience, and hope that as you visit with our hand-selected and trained administrators, you will come prepared to unite with us in writing this final chapter of your loved ones’ life.

Letter From The CEO
It is my belief that seniors are the greatest passing resource we can claim for the next generation. Our nation’s senior generation has lived through the greatest revolutionary change in the history of the world. They are the wealth of what America is made of and, in our opinion, hold many of the timeless characteristics that our future generations will need to successfully navigate this next Century.
I look forward to meeting you and hope you will come visit us to catch the vision of what can happen when the right people with a unifying passion come together to accomplish great things. —Douglas B. Clegg, CEO
Douglas B. Clegg, CEO
Doug graduated in 1991 from Brigham Young University with a Bachelors of Science in Construction Management. Since that time he has consulted and operated several residential and commercial construction and engineering firms. In 1994, Doug and his wife, Sandra, decided there needed to be more to their career and life in general than chasing the next project opportunity. After months of research, in partnership with Doug’s parents, they felt compelled to become involved in taking care of our nation’s aging population. They started by creating the company that became the first Spring Creek Manor. In fact, it was there that Doug’s aging grandparents, Nina and Benjamin Hull, had the opportunity to live in a home-like environment during the latter part of their life and do what Spring Creek calls “passing the torch” to the next generation.
Because Doug recognizes the significance to our community in supporting and caring for seniors, he is happy to share with everyone how this has become the most rewarding adventure of his life. He has personally been involved in every dimension of the assisted living business--from deciding on the first location in Soda Springs to his current position as the CEO for our company.
In the early days of our company, Doug often came home from work at night only to sit down with his wife to do the payroll. He also clearly recalls some of the first meetings with lenders and investors to decide how to obtain the resources to build a little business into the multi-community, state-wide organization it is today. Spring Creek and quality assisted living has become a passion in Doug’s life. Serving the seniors in the State of Idaho, and their families, has been Doug’s driving force and our mission since we opened doors on the first building over 14 years ago.
Doug’s family has been a tremendous support to him in this endeavor. His wife and partner, Sandra, has and continues to play an integral and vital part in maintaining the warm atmosphere of Spring Creek Manor, carefully and personally decorating each location to reflect her own beautiful home. Doug and Sandra have five children. Watching them grow and struggle has been a sleepless and rich experience for both of them. It has become their goal to pass the torch of Spring Creek Manor and providing loving care for the elderly to their children. It is also Doug and Sandra’s belief that the seniors in America are the greatest passing resource that we can claim for the next generation. Our nation’s senior generation has lived through the greatest revolutionary change in the history of the world. They are the wealth of what America is made of and, in Doug’s opinion, hold many of the timeless characteristics that our future generations will need to successfully navigate this next Century.
Doug looks forward to meeting you and hopes you will come visit us to catch the vision of what can happen when the right people with a unifying passion come together to accomplish great things.
