Spring Creek  Manor's Ohana School : an Intergenerational Shared Site Program providing an environment where the concept of “family” is the foundation upon which learning about the past, the present and the future between generations occurs.

The Ohana School is designed to be a place where senior men and women will be valued for their lifelong experiences, knowledge and skills and will be given the opportunity to share them with children who are in their earliest developmental years. Through academic, social, emotional and spiritual interactions, these experiences will help create a world in which multi- generations are naturally accepting and appreciative of one another, nurturing a greater sense of worth to self and community. Within an educational environment and structured learning system, experiences and values from the past will guide the children who will develop into our leaders of tomorrow. Implementing a three dimensional approach to learning, the Ohana School will provide a network between grandparents (seniors), parents and children, as well as the community, that will enhance the following: a positive contribution to society from all generations, improved communication between all generations, a sense of respect and compassion for all generations and an on-going network for parenting and family problem-solving skills that has been passed through generations. The Ohana School will promote the concept that Elder-care and Child-care will no longer exist in isolation, but will be integrated on multiple levels, learning and caring for one another in a family oriented environment.
